Visit the Income Tax e-Filing portal and log in using your credentials.
- Click on the “TDS” option from the drop-down menu under “Services”.
- Select “Upload TDS” from the drop-down menu.
- Choose the relevant financial year and form number for the TDS return you wish to file.
- Download the TDS Return Preparation Utility (RPU) from the portal and fill in the details of the TDS returns.
- Validate the TDS return details using the FVU (File Validation Utility).
- Generate an electronic signature using DSC Management Utility, if required.
- Click on “Upload TDS Zip File” and upload the ZIP file containing the TDS return details and the electronic signature (if required).
- Once the upload is complete, check the status of the TDS return on the portal.
- If there are any errors or discrepancies, rectify them and re-upload the corrected TDS return file.
- If there are no errors, the TDS return will be accepted by the Income Tax Department.
- Download the acknowledgment receipt for the TDS return filing.
